Creative Writing Marathon:
8. Write a rant about something that drives you crazy
Some things drive me crazy, both in
public, and at home. One of my biggest peeves is when students work on the
littlest things extremely hard, simply to become the best at it. For instance,
many students (I won’t name anyone) that have the potential to do well in
school, throw away their studying time to play sports and such. They believe
they can make it to the NBA, NFL, MBL, and other major leagues. Moreover, some
kids just don’t have the features/characteristics to pursue a career a
profession in sports. Certain children don’t have the genetics to support their
lives in a sport full of people meant to play it. Also, what annoys far more
than this is that some kids try to become the best at a video game in order to participate
in gaming tournaments and win cash. It’s true, there are very few people in the
world that actually prosper from uploading videos of their skill in gaming tournaments
and Game Battles. Currently, hundreds upon hundreds of kids, aging from twelve
all the way to forty or even more, are flowing in to make money off of gaming.
These things baffle me because, why throw away time to complete homework and
studying for practicing something irrelevant?
